Redesigning the lone bath in a Somerville rental that a younger pair shares with 1 of their grandparents presented competing aims. Brainstorming, Jillian Hoover of Manufactured Collective Co. and Patrick Rettig of Haven Architecture turned up a remedy: steal the eating area closet. “We reversed the closet to open up into the bathtub,” Hoover claims. “There’s now a full closet just within the doorway and pretty simple towel hooks together the opposite wall.”
